17.1 Negative present continuous time

We addnotafter am, is and are to make negative sentences in the present continuous time. Read the examples to find out how negative sentences are formed.

Positive means yes Negative means no
I am writing a letter. I am not writing a letter.
We are waiting for him. We are not waiting for him.
You are dreaming. You are not dreaming, are you?
They are watching a movie. They are not watching a movie.
He is smiling. He is not smiling.
She is taking music lessons. She is not taking music lessons.
It (the dog) is barking. It (the dog) is not barking.
